Here we are in Gibraltar, now British, formerly Spanish, formerly Moorish, formerly .... going back to the first known settlement by the Phoenicians.  We took a tour up to the top of the rock where there are monkeys and a limestone cave.  Then we decided to relax the rest of the day.  I captioned some of the photos.

 

Morocco 10 miles away.
It was foggy today, no wonder there is a lighthouse.
Must have been fun getting these up so high.
SInce the Houthis began attacking ships, traffic through the straits has increased.
Fuel is cheap in Gibraltar so we are tanking up.

The monkeys are not native, the were brought from Morocco. They are all vaccinated.
The mountain in the background is Morocco. Only 10 miles away which explains why owning the rock is so strategic.
