Gaudi Day

Our first day of vacation took us to two of Antoni Gaudi's famous works.  First the Casa Batllo, then the Sagrada Familia.  Gaudi graduated from architectural college with distinction in 1878.  The director said this about Gaudi - “I don’t know whether we have given him the title of madman or genius, time will tell.”

I am pretty tired from the trip and the 9 hour time change so I didn't really spend time editing these.  I plan to show images from every few days of my vacation so come back for more if you are interested.

The roof is reminiscent of a dragon. St. George is the patron saint of Catalonia.
There is a sensory cube in the museum which attempts to portray the mind of Gaudi The next few images are from that
Sagrada Familia. Loved by some, hated by some. Picasso didn't like it at all, but Dali liked it a lot.
