Birds in Flight

My passion has always been flying, even had my own plane for years, but after my open heart surgery I had to go through all sorts of red tape to get past my medical and after a lot of money and time and hassle I gave up and paid attention to birds.

I really love watching birds, especially the bigger ones.  They are hard to photograph because you need to have a decent depth of field to keep them in focus, you need a high shutter speed to stop wings, and you need a low ISO to prevent graininess and of course right place right time.  

So here are a few of my attempts.  I think I am getting better.
