Bird Heads

I am fascinated by the variations in bird appearance.  We think humans come in all sizes, shapes, colors, but birds seem to have many more variations.  I tried to research the comparative genetics of birds and humans and could not get any clear answers on the number of genes, etc.  But it is clear that birds have a much more complex genome than humans do.  Here are some pictures of bird heads.  Imagine if people were this different?
